Four Winwick, Eight Alternatives

More alternative pics (compared with those from Winwick) again in today's post, 11th April 2011, with the recent SVR Gala again well represented.  More importantly, Ray Whitfield's funeral at Warrington Crematorium is now arranged for Wednesday April 18th at 14.20hrs, not 13.00hrs as recently reported. Let us attend in numbers and give Ray a great send off.

WINWICK

First up, shot number one,  is from Matthew Chambers.  Taken at Arpley on 3rd April 2012, Matthew adds that EWS (DBS) class 92, 92011 Handel, is dead in tow behind DRS class 66, 66428, after the class 92 had failed at Shap on the previous evening.

Ken Young's night shot of TATA steel liveried class 60, 60099 is shown next, pic number two. Taken at Bank Quay on 16th January 2012, the working was coal.

The Royal Train is next, pic number three, from Matthew Chambers. The DBS class 67, 67026, has been specially commissioned as a Royal loco and named Diamond Jubilee. The livery is also special - painted in silver and including a modern elongated image of the Union Flag, and Diamond Jubilee logo. The train is shown at Bank Quay on 3rd April 2012.
