A Baker's Dozen

Yes, you read the title correctly - we have thirteen pics on the blog today, 13th March 2012,  reflecting the number of pics, particularly alternatives, that are flooding in to me.


WINWICK


First up is another pic (and there are more in the bank) of the 5043 / 6021 duo described in the previous post. Pic number one is from John Smith and was taken at Winwick on 9th March 2012.

Pic number two shows 5043 at Bank Quay Station on the following day, 10th March 2012 - taken in low light by Geoff Nicholls.

Next up, pic number three is from Geoff Monks. EWS (DBS) class 60, 60065 Spirit of Jaguar, is pictured leaving Latchford Sidings on the lunchtime FFPS - LBT empty coal working on 5th March 2012.

BR 'Standard' class 7, No.70013 Oliver Cromwell, is featured next as it passed through Winwick, with support coach, on 1st March 2012. The pic is number four, and the photographer is John Smith.

The same loco is pictured next, number five, at Bank Quay on the same day, 1st March 2012, taken by Matthew Chambers.

DRS class 66, 66431, (ex Fastline) is next, pic number six, from myself. The intermodal working was pictured as it passed through Red Bank (just after the 5043/6201 duo) on 9th March 2012.

The seventh and final pic in this section has been sent in by Matthew Chambers. Another DRS class 66, 66429, is depicted at Bank Quay on an intermodal working on 30th September 2009.







ATERNATIVE UK PICS



Pic number eight, first in this section, is from John Smith. St Helens Junction is the location for DBS red liveried class 60, 60007 The Spirit of Tom Kendell, on a coal working on 24th February 2012.






The ex GCR class '8K' (LNER and BR class 'O4/1') 2-8-0, No.63601, designed by John Robinson, is shown in pic number nine, from David Quayle. The location is Quorn and Woodhouse on the GCR and the date, 27th January 2012.







Pic number ten is from Colin Platt, taken on his visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on 30th September 2011. Pictured is Stanier 'Black 5' 4-6-0, No.44767 George Stephenson, approaching Goathland.






DBS red liveried class 60, 60011, was pictured in a very rural location by Bob McClellan on 8th February 2011. The location is Harpur Hill (Dowlow Branch).








Ex GWR '2885' class 2-8-0, No.3803, is depicted approaching Buckfastleigh Station on the South Devon Railway. The pic is number twelve, the contributor is Paul Holland and the date, 19th June 2006.








The thirteenth and last shot in this post is from Barry Rigby. Featured is BR 'Standard' class 7, No.70000 Britannia,  as it attacks the incline to Birkett Tunnel on the S&C. The pic is date 10th March 2012.
